I have really learned to appreciate avocado. It is definitely an acquired taste and texture, one I only began enjoying as an adult. This fruit, yes, avocado is a fruit, is not only versatile but full of healthy stuff.
But what do you do when you don’t need to use the entire avocado in one sitting? I read somewhere recently that to preserve half an avocado you simply store it with the pit in. And guess what? It works! No lemon juice required. Just pop the avocado-half in an air-tight container or plastic baggie and refrigerate.
