My Top Picks: Halloween Books for Kids Aged 5-9

We love books. We are definitely a bookish family. And Halloween books are no exception. One of the things I like to do, in part because we have SO many books and also because it’s fun for the kids, is to cycle the seasonal and holiday books. This gives them a newish quality without being — well — new.

Two weeks ago my little guy began asking, “Mommy, when can you get down the Halloween books and CDs?” Last week I finally remembered, much to his squeals of delight. So, much like the past week and for the next two weeks, it’ll be a steady bedtime chorus of a who-gets-which CD.

Our kids love it when we take out the books-of-the-season. It keeps the reading material fresh. These are the Halloween books my 7 and 9 year olds are currently reading. http://diaryofadomesticdiva.comBecause my kiddos get some enjoyment from these selections, I thought I’d share with you what the younger three are reading and listening to (my eldest has moved on.) We’ve bought these randomly over the years and, as you can see, many were great dollar store finds which goes to show you don’t need to spend a lot if you’re looking in the right places.
