Summer Boredom Busters: TD Summer Reading Club at Aurora Public Library

Love, love, love this FREE summer program at our local library.

The TD Summer Reading Club at the Aurora Public Library began taking registrations June 26th and runs all summer long. They offer fun weekly incentives as the kids complete their reading passport and two different programs are available for the 12 and under and 12 and over crowd.

The 12 and under get these nifty activity books and notebooks to track their reading. Every three books reported back to the librarian earns them a stamp and a little prize and after completing 12 books the child’s name goes into a draw for a grand prize which this year includes a free two-hour design session and print-out of a 3D creation which is VERY cool, in addition to a $25 gift card to Chapters.

For the 12 and over crowd, the reporting is done by doing a book review on the book or books read during the course of the summer.

Free Summer Program: Aurora Public Library TD Summer Reading Club

I love any program that gets kids excited about books and reading and it thrills me to see my kids get excited about a visit to the library.

Also, it’s free. And FREE earns big points in my book.

Check it out and maybe we will bump into you there!
